I'm a technical project manager with hands-on development experience. I work on architecture and implementation, coordinate teams and vendors, and take projects through testing and release.

I'm also interested in research, particularly AI and language technologies.

01 / Architecture & development Ooredoo Maldives

AI-Driven eKYC

Building the intelligence behind digital identity verification.

The problem
Build identity verification in-house, with less reliance on vendor licensing.
My contribution
Architecture, model integration and liveness detection.
The outcome
Document processing reduced from about 30 seconds to 1–2 seconds; automated provisioning rose from 13.1% to 91.7%.

Served as Technical Lead for the PayPal receiving integration in the Maldives, working with PayPal APAC, Ooredoo Group and internal engineering and compliance teams. Participated in MMA demos and working sessions.

Supported the national launch enabling users to receive international USD payments into m-Faisaa and access funds locally.

I work through complex engineering problems with the product and the business in mind.

I like being close enough to the technical work to understand the trade-offs. Building systems myself helps me ask better questions, work through problems with developers and make practical delivery decisions.

I'm also working towards an MBA in Digital Leadership.

    Lead platform delivery from requirements through UAT, release and production change, coordinating 5+ vendors and internal teams. Delivered 10+ customer journeys, set up CI/CD workflows and contribute to core BSS integration alongside hands-on production AI work.

    BSS Planning, Digital Platforms Executive

    Delivered work across SuperApp, Digital Archiving, the corporate website and Google Apigee, coordinating requirements, vendors, testing and releases. Supported API standardisation and expanded delivery across Digital Funnel, Product Funnel, m-Faisaa and SMSC.

  3. Sep 2022 – Apr 2024

    Demand & Delivery, QA Executive

    Managed migrations of the full UCCX customer-care calling platform and USSD service, leading UAT and migration readiness. Automated QA testing and configured rates, recurring packs and offers on Ericsson Charging System.

HackMV

  1. Dec 2020 – Mar 2021

    Project Leader & Lead Developer

    Led a three-person team to design and co-develop SaafuMV, an open-source public clean-up platform for the Maldives. After winning HackMV 2020, worked with the Ministry of Environment to continue development for public use.

Language matters.

Dhivehi STT / TTS

Fine-tuned Whisper and Meta MMS for Dhivehi speech-to-text and text-to-speech experiments, and publicly released a Dhivehi TTS model on Hugging Face.

Dhivehi is a low-resource language. Limited language-specific resources make adaptation and evaluation important when building speech tools for its speakers.
